Report

Spurs slipped to defeat in the closing minutes of the game, which had been held up for a long period for an injury to a player.

A goal was conceded from a corner in the 17th minute, but Spurs came back into the match with a good spell of possession, but failed to trouble the keeper and Laura May pulled out some good saves to keep it to 1-0 at the break.

In the second half, play was held up for 50 minutes while an ambulance arrived to pick up leg injury victim Rosi Webb. After the re-start, Tottenham were pushing for the equaliser, but in the closing stages, Whitehawk hit on the break to score twice more, to produce a 0-3 score-line, which flattered them.

Team: Laura May, Mary Griffiths, Rochelle Alexandra, Kelly Herrett (c), Carly Snell, Ebony Heath (Geena Gordon), Chanelle Breen, Jenna Brailey, Di Gardiner, Rosi Webb (Samrawit Bereket), Jade Perrin.
