Report

Spurs Ladies made another strong finish in a nine-goal thriller with Cambridge City in last weekend's South East Combination match but just fell short in a 5-4 defeat.

Sam Garner cancelled out the visitors' early opener before Alex Small (pictured on homepage) gave Spurs a lead, only for Cambridge to equalise with an incredible 40-yard effort on the stroke of half-time.

It lead to somewhat of a collapse after the break as Spurs went 5-2 down, but another strike from Small and a penalty from Natasha Ademakinwa gave the final scoreline a respectable look.

There were some better results among the youth sides with the pick of the bunch being the Under-12's fantastic 16-0 win over Harvesters. Tia Fogerty netted five of the goals.

The Under-14s were also comfortable 6-0 winners over Belmont United, with Sam Pennington hitting four goals, and Xelia Mendes-Jones (pictured right) was the Under-13s' match winner against Enfield Town.

There were mixed results in the Under-16 age group as the Whites defeated Watford Ladies 1-0 away from home, but the Blues suffered a 5-0 reverse at home to Hampstead.

There was also a 2-0 defeat for the Under-10s against Harvesters in the Chairman's Cup.
