Simon Davies ensured that Glenn Hoddle's first home game in charge of Tottenham ended in charge.
Hoddle will have been mightily relieved at the final whistle after seeing his charges outplayed for long period of the match.
Steffen Iversen opened the scoring for Spurs in the first-half before Eoin Jess equalised on the stroke of half-time with a superb volley.
Davies then popped up mid-way through the second period to sweetly strike his first premiership goal.
Hoddle was given a warm reception when he came onto the pitch before the game, but the cheers soon subsided as Tottenham turned in a tepid first-half performance.
They struggled to take control of midfield and looked shakey at the back.
However, Sergie Rebrov was one lively player for them and he had an excellent chance to score after eight minutes.
Robert Molenaar headed the ball into Rebrov¿s path on the edge of the area, but the Ukrainian struck his first-time shot straight into the arms of a relieved Walsh.
Benito Carbone was involved in most of Bradford¿s best moves and he came close with a 25-yard free-kick mid-way through the first-half.
Bradford were looking increasingly comfortable as the half went on, but they allowed Tottenham to open the scoring with a defensive lapse.
Spurs' goalscorer Iversen
Rebrov's cross from the right was missed by both Andy Myers and Molenaar and fell to Iversen.
The Norwegian's first touch was poor, but Molenaar again failed to clear, and the Spurs striker volleyed past Walsh.
Tottenham looked to be heading into half-time with a fortuitous lead, but they were stunned when Bradford grabbed an equaliser moments before the interval.
Ashley Ward beat Perry to a header and the ball fell to Eoin Jess on the edge of the area.
The Scotsman made space for himself and sent an excellent right-foot volley crashing past Neil Sullivan's left hand.
Bradford were desperately unlucky not to score shortly after half-time.
Ashley Ward drove into the area and hit a low shot that clattered the far post.
The ball rebounded to Robbie Blake, who put the ball into the roof of the net but was rightly ruled offside.
Yet it was Tottenham who took the lead, with Rebrov again the catalyst.
The diminutive striker sped into the area and did well to hold off Myers before feeding Davies, who fired home from 12 yards.
Bradford continued to create chances and Ward again came close in the closing five minutes.
But Tottenham managed to hold on and actually finished the stronger, with the impressive Gary Doherty twice coming close.
