Report

For the second time this season Fulham retrieved a two-goal deficit, only this time Jean Tigana's side claimed all three points.

Last month Fulham had come back against Middlesbrough to draw 2-2, snatching two late goals.

On Wednesday, Fulham went one better as goals from Junichi Inamoto, Steed Malbranque and Sylvain Legwinski completed a quite remarkable comeback. In doing so Tigana's side ended Spurs' unbeaten record and denied their north London rivals the chance to leapfrog Arsenal and go back to the top of the Premiership.

Spurs' new £7m signing Robbie Keane was left on the bench, but that seemed irrelevant as first-half goals from Dean Richards and Teddy Sheringham looked to have put Glenn Hoddle's side in control.

On 35 minutes Richards rose above Zat Knight to powerfully head home Milenko Acimovic's corner. Richards' goal shook Fulham's confidence and Legwinski headed behind his own goal after an untidy mix-up.

Soon after Goma needed to rescue Edwin van der Sar after the Dutchman had fluffed a punch.

Two minutes before the interval and, again, Fulham only had themselves to blame following poor defensive work.

A poor clearance was quickly returned to Ferdinand, who controlled it into the path of Matthew Etherington and his neat touch found Sheringham, who swept a shot home from 12 yards out.

Fulham were disjointed in that opening period, unsettled by the loss of Louis Saha, who was forced to limp off after 19 minutes, and conceding two goals.

Yet Fulham were a different proposition after the interval and their stunning riposte was spearheaded by Inamoto and Sean Davis.

Remorselessly dragging his side forward, Davis was the catalyst behind the first goal when his shot was weakly blocked by Chris Perry.

That allowed Inamoto to deliver a stinging shot back into the far corner as he claimed his fifth goal in three games. Moments later Steve Finnan caused Kasey Keller more anxiety when his shot hit the bar.

With Spurs under the cosh Christian Ziege came on for Acimovic as Hoddle tried to reinforce his side's defence.

But Spurs imploded when Anthony Gardner hauled back Barry Hayles and Malbranque converted the penalty to pull Fulham level.

And in a frantic finale Legwinski sealed the three points for Tigana's side with his stoppage-time winner.
