Spurs Ladies made the perfect start to their FA Women's Premier League campaign against Swindon Town on Sunday.
They took their impressive pre-season friendly form into the real thing with an impressive 4-1 victory at Brimsdown Rovers FC.
The scoreline doesn't quite tell the whole story as Spurs dominated the first half but only led 1-0 and were hauled back just after the hour before three late goals saw them home.
Spurs Ladies saw their dominance over Swindon Town finally pay dividends with three goals in the last 15 minutes.
Spurs dominated from the first whistle. Wendy Martin almost met Jenna Schillaci's free-kick, Bianca Baptiste went close and Martin saw a goal disallowed from Nikita Whinnett's cross on 21 minutes.
Whinnett and Riana Soobadoo combined for Martin to fire over and Josie Green tested Robyn Levett from 25 yards.
The opener arrived on 32 minutes when Soobadoo's pass was finished by Baptiste. Lucia Leon then hit the post and Levett kept out Soobadoo's return.
Swindon started the second half brightly as Toni-Anne Wayne denied Georgia Walters but at the other end, Spurs were thwarted by the woodwork again as Martin struck the post.
Swindon levelled on 64 minutes as Michelle Rich's free-kick struck the crossbar only for Walters to head home for 1-1.
Spurs came again and grabbed the initiative back in the final 10 minutes.
Whinnett broke free before rolling in Martin to tap home for 2-1 before hitting a belter herself for 3-1, cutting in from the left before striking over Levett into the top corner.
The fourth and final goal arrived in added time as Martin rose for a trademark header from Earth Pond's free-kick for 4-1.
