Match Report

Steffen Iversen struck late to grab a draw against UEFA Cup holders Feyenoord at the De Kuip Stadium.

Our Norwegian hitman made it three goals in his last two friendlies to make sure we left Rotterdam with a share of the spoils after Teddy Sheringham marked his first start of the summer programme with his first goal.

Teddy, Christian Ziege, Kasey Keller and Jonathan Blondel all started for the first time in pre-season in front of over 40,000 on a rain-soaked Dutch afternoon.

Kalou and ex-Forest and Celtic striker Pierre Van Hooijdonk went close early on but we took the lead after 24 minutes.

Darren Anderton crossed from the right and Teddy made no mistake on the volley from close range, firing across Zoetebier into the far corner.

Bosvelt struck the woodwork and the home side were level 10 minutes later.

It was a bolt from the blue as defender Van Haaren left Keller helpless with a screamer from 25 yards.

Lurling and Van Hooijdonk went close for Feyenoord before they edged ahead on 73 minutes, Kalou sweeping home from close range.

Keller then saved superbly to deny a trademark Van Hooijdonk free-kick and we cashed in to level with three minutes left.

A mix up in the home defence allowed Iversen to dribble past Zoeterbier and slot into an empty net.
