Report

Spurs Ladies are starting to click into top gear with a second-successive convincing victory in the GLLL.

Soon playing against nine players due to injury, the visitors opted to pack out their defence and made it difficult for Spurs to break them down.

Zoella Freeman came close twice early on after shooting just wide and then hitting the post after good approach work from Gill Blackmore and Jenny Curtis.

Blackmore (pictured) opened the scoring on the half-hour after linking with Freeman, Curtis went close and just before the break both sides had a player sent off.

The second half followed a similar pattern to the first Lorraine Sparrow had a rare shot saved, Mo Cordes had a shot off the line and Cordes was then hacked down in the area for Siw Wiggen to despatch a penalty for 2-0.

Sparrow soon crossed for Freeman to make it 3-0, Cordes cracked home the fourth and in the final minute, Jackie Fearon made it five after latching onto Kim McGhee's pass.

Spurs Ladies: Hills, Herrett, Wiggen, Djoshkoun, Sparrow, Curtis, Fearon, Blackmore, Oshodi, Freeman, Theocharis. Subs: McGhee, Gardiner, Cordes.
