It is with no little relief that Tottenham Ladies recorded their first win of the League season after a few weeks away and with a long injury list. Tottenham started well and returning skipper Jackie Fearon shot across goal as early as the third minute.  In the 9th minute, a free kick from Kelly Herrett was saved comfortably by the Colney Heath keeper.   Lucy Auguste was causing a lot of problems and was put clear in the twelfth minute by Jackie Fearon, but her shot was saved by the keeper's legs for a corner.  On 21 mins, she then had a header cleared off the line.  In the next attack a penalty was awarded and Steph Lappen stepped up to take it, but her spot kick was saved by the visiting keeper.  Zoella Freeman followed in to hit the rebound over the bar.  In the 29th minute a free kick from Lorraine Sparrow was volleyed just wide of the post by Lucy Auguste, who then had a long range shot just tipped over the bar three minutes later.  Lucy got even closer in the 37th minute, when, following a goalmouth scramble, her shot came back off the post.   It was just two minutes before the break that Steph Lappen collected a pass from Auguste and rounded the keeper before slotting home to put Spurs ahead.   Ten minutes into the second half, Gill Blackmore had a rising shot clear the bar.  Just after the hour, Lucy Auguste made it 2-0 with a 15 yard curling shot out of the keeper's reach.   It wasn't until the 80th minute that Lucy added to the tally, when she ran on to a lofted pass from Jackie Fearon and cheekily flicked the ball over the keeper's head as she advanced.  Five minutes later, Zoella Freeman rounded off the scoring, when she shot from the edge of the area into the top corner of the goal following a lay-back from Handan Djoshkoun. It was a solid performance by the Ladies and featured some good finishing, which shows that the training routines are now paying off.
